Admission Procedure

Admission in Bodhi Peet takes place only against the order issued by either the Director, Dept. of Social Welfare, Govt. of West Bengal or the Chairperson, Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Kolkata, Govt. of West Bengal. When a child with mental retardation comes in our organization, assessment of his/her physical and mental capacities are done by the experts. On the basis of which Activities of Daily Living (ADL) as well as other special activities (such as physical exercise, vocational training, singing etc.) are planned for a particular child.

Any custodian child of Bodhi Peet can be released or shifted or transferred or rehabilitated only by the orders issued by any of the two above mentioned authorities.

 However, our organization has inmates under different schemes since its inception. Though most of the schemes are obsolete at present and Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS) is mainly a centrally sponsored scheme and the umbrella which provides shelter to every child in need for care, protection and shelter irrespective of their nature of need, religion, caste, creed etc. anyway, at present Bodhi Peet is the custodian of orphan mentally retarded children under the following schemes.
